Description

[Episode 21] MOOC: Knowledge Without Borders – with Dimitris Athanassiadis

In this episode of EDUtalks, we discuss how MOOCs- Massive Open Online Courses- can be used to share relevant information with a broader audience beyond our own university.

The SLU MOOC “Why choose wood for your next construction project?” has been developed by SLU teachers under the leadership our SLU colleague, Associate Professor Dimitris Athanassiadis, Department of Forest Biomaterials and Technology, who is the guest in this episode.

Some questions we discuss are how one can plan a MOOC for a broad group of participants with different experiences and views, and how MOOCs can be useful for not only a wide array of external participants, but also even for diverse target groups within our own university.
